UNSUNG HEROS

This unique maker space showcased the works of potters from the Kutch region of Gujarat and everyone at event X got a chance to try their hands at pottery and interact with the potters. The panels showcased how DICRC, a research unit of CEPT, helps sustain the craft and the craftsmen.

UNSUNG HEROS
DESIGNature

Students worked with practising architects on a design time-problem to give them a better understanding of how to approach such problems.

Collaborators: Ar. Gita Balakrishnan, Ethos India

DESIGNature

Done for the first time in Bangalore, this maker space brought students together to find a solution to a design problem, build a business model around it and pitch it to the members of the panel. The students had mentors to guide them through every step of the process.

THE BIG PICTURE

After a brief presentation on the dos and don’ts of architectural photography, the students were allowed to understand video and documentary making as part of the trade. They even used a drone!

RENDER ME AWESOME

The students worked with tin and wood to create a modern installation that played with light and shadow. The owners of the venue liked it so much, they insisted on keeping it!

Architectural education has become very predictable and events like these extend the learning outside the four walls. Unbind's hands-on approach and dialogue way of learning becomes very important and they're doing a good job and I hope they organize more such events!

The whole experience has been so professional and I'm extremely proud of the team! It never once felt like they were a group of youngsters.

This is a great initiative where all forms of art are on display and it helps students choose what path they want to take in future.
